3D Elements representing accessible design

Workshops
& Sessions

  • Understanding why accessibility & inclusion matters can be both meaningful and motivating.

The goal is to create a learning experience that will inspire and empower people to become future accessibility & inclusion champions.

By attending an Inclusion Lab, participants can expect to gain a deeper understanding of why accessibility & inclusion matters, gain an appreciation of the different perspectives and needs of those impacted by accessibility issues.

This workshop will provide participants with a unique opportunity to gain knowledge about invisible disabilities, understand the implications design & development decisions have on accessibility, and develop strategies to create more inclusive products.

These sessions can be held remotely or in person.

  • Designing with accessibility in mind can feel limiting or restrictive to the creative freedom designers crave.

Designers a11y bootcamps are a series crafted for designers by a designer. We speak design language in these sessions, cover topics like color contrast, focus, interaction, animation, landmarks, content & copy and more.

Designers will learn about the best tools to use in their work, along with the accessibility knowledge and frameworks to inform their design processes going forward.

Sessions are tailored to the level of accessibility knowledge the design teams are at, ranging from novices to those more experienced in inclusive & accessible design.

  • Adopting accessibility and inclusion into your workflows can feel cumbersome, costly and disruptive. The key to developing a sustainable practice is by getting under the hood understanding how both the design & development teams work. This includes taking inventory of the tools they currently use and the processes they follow.

We work with design and development teams to address the challenges that can often be introduced when adding accessibility & inclusion requirements to process, There isn’t a one size fits all approach to process transformation, this work is focused on how to effectively and efficiently navigate the transformation from a reactive accessibility approach to a proactive one. The key outcome is developing a process and workflow that works the way you work.
